Profile I was born in rural Victoria, Australia, and spent my childhood growing up on an orchard. My teenage and early adult years were spent in the beautiful, cosmopolitan city of Melbourne. After holidaying in New Zealand in 1979, I decided to move permanently in 1980.

Later that year, I met my future husband, Phil. We lived in Christchurch until
1998 when we moved to Marlborough to experience a more relaxed and
quieter lifestyle.

My working background and experience has been in media and management. I've also worked as a tertiary teacher and a corporate staff trainer and facilitator. When I am not practicing psychotherapy/counselling I enjoy travel, music, movies, art, reading and writing, swimming and yoga. I like to entertain friends and family at home in central Blenheim where I live with Phil and our two young cats: Honey and Zöe.

For my own mental health and personal growth, I have sought and received professional psychotherapy and counselling to assist me through the many traumatic and challenging periods in my life.
